Feeling Good...

Sorry i have not wrote for a while, just cant seem to grab the time these past couple of days.

I have started volunteering in my local Oxfam store. Its fab. Its part of my module i am doing at uni and i have to do a number of assessments for it, essay. presentation, diary etc etc. Its going quite well, even though i only started yesterday.

The best of it is its a book store one, its a huge shop with just books. My idea of heaven. Anyone who knows me will know i love books. This shop is what i expect heaven to look like. I got shown what to do with the books when they came in and what to do to them when they go out. Its a lot more technical than it seems. There were just stacks of the same book piled up like a proper bookstore.

I did resist the temptation to buy a book, even though i had my eye on Swallowing Grandma by Kate Long. I go back again on Friday as i am doing 2 mornings a week so maybe it will still be there.

Had a meeting with the other student reps today in uni, we are trying to organise a night out for the whole 3 years in our department as well as relaunch the Sociology Society. We have some great ideas, lots of goof fun stuff that will be a laugh. We just in the process of putting all the ideas and knowledge into practice.

We are going to have to start going around some of the bars here and asking them if we bring in xxx amount of students what do we get free. I think its the only way we are going to get the students to go. Because you have to join the society we are going to have to charge about £3 for each person to go. If we get freebies from each club/bar, this will make that £3 seem worthwhile.

We are also going to invest in a water gun's and bottles of alcohol (the child in us is coming out).... Good job i don't drink!!

Its going to be such a laugh.

Plus my seminar today got cancelled, which i was made up for as he is horrible, really picks on you, me and my friend who is older than me feel like we are back at school again, dreading going to the seminar.

Plus all my lectures and seminars are cancelled for tomorrow as the tutor is off sick. But i still have to go into the library to do a lot of reading.

Speak soon

P.s The picture is my favourite picture, i took it whilst laying on the grass in Llangollen camping, the day was fabulous and this just sums up when i am feeling very happy.
